How to get the latitude and longitude coordinates of a place?
This document provides two ways to search the latitude and longitude coordinates of a place, either by moving around the map and zooming in, or by typing an address if the place is unknown.
(i) To get the coordinates of a place by moving around the map:
To get the coordinates of a place you find on the map with your browser, like Chrome, Firefox, or Internet Explorer.
2. Right-click the place or area on the map (use the map zoom controls and drag as required for greater accuracy).
3. Select What's here?
4. Under the search box, an info card with coordinates will appear.
Note: If you're using Maps in Lite mode, you won't be able to get the coordinates of a place.
(ii) To get the coordinates using the name and/or address of the place:
2. Type the full location : number, street, city, country into the search box. For big cities and famous places, the country is optional. Here are examples:
SATHYA Technosoft (I) Pvt. Ltd, Tuticorin, Tamil Nadu
SATHYA Agencies (P) Ltd, Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu
2/86, Palayamkottai Road, NH-7A, Maravanmadam, Thoothukudi
3. A pin will drop at the location of your coordinates.
