Tally ODBC Error

SYMPTOMS 

When you try to access Tally via ODBC, you may receive an error message that is similar to the following: 
Error 1919. Error configuring ODBC data source: Tally ODBC error 
CAUSE 

 This problem may occur when the following registry sub keys are missing: 
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\ODBC
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ODBC
These sub keys may have been removed if you removed a Corel program, including a program in the Corel WordPerfect Office family of products. 

RESOLUTION 

 To resolve this problem, you must replace the missing subkeys. To do this, use one of the following methods.

Import the Registry sub keys from another computer on the Network.

Import the Registry sub keys from your own computer.

Important : This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems might occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you follow these steps carefully. For added protection, back up the registry before you modify it. So that you can restore the registry if a problem occurs.
