Methods to troubleshoot and fix when system booting fails

The reasons behind system booting failure:
1.Hard Disk is not detected.
2.Operating System is corrupted.

Steps to detect Hard Disk:

A)  Cable Connection
(i) Normal Cable
1. Ensure that the IDE (Integrated Drive Electronics) cable connecting the motherboard and the hard disk is properly connected.
2. Verify that the power supply cable from the SMPS (Switched-Mode Power Supply) to the hard disk is securely connected.

(ii) SATA (Serial Advanced Technology Attachment) Cable
1. Ensure that the IDE cable connecting the motherboard and the hard disk is properly connected.
2. Verify that the power supply cable, with a distinct output, is correctly connected between the SMPS and the hard disk.

B) Hard Disk Jumper
1. It holds four slots namely primary, secondary, primary flave and secondary flave.
2. For connecting a single hard disk, use the primary slot. For connecting two hard disks, use the secondary slot.

Steps to check if OS is working fine or corrupted:

If Hard Disk is detected, then OS may be corrupted. Follow these steps to fix it:

1. Press F10, and then select "Last Known Good Configuration" when it is displayed. Press Enter to boot the system.
2. Press F8 to enter Safe Mode, and then press Enter. This helps in booting the system.
