Unable to get e-mail alerts or reports from SmarterPing
Situation:
You have set up your email address for receiving alerts and notifications in various modules of SmarterPing. However, there are no emails in your inbox related to SmarterPing reports or events.
Report - which allows accessing all available information related to object activity for the selected period of time.
Event Management - Events are designed to initiate actions based on significant or disruptive activities. Customers will receive immediate email notifications triggered by various event types.
To receive desired emails, you can ensure delivery by whitelisting the email address with Gmail, Outlook.com, or Yahoo! Mail. Whitelisting helps prioritize and allow emails from specified addresses.
Why you are not receiving the emails?
Gmail, Outlook.com, and Yahoo! Mail employ email blocking services to safeguard users from unwanted or malicious emails, including phishing attempts, scams, and spam. However, in some instances, they may mistakenly categorize wanted emails as unwanted and vice versa.
How to overcome the issue?
1. Ensure that a valid email address has been enrolled in the user configuration wizard by the user (recipient) intended to receive the notification.
2. Ensure the user intended to receive the notification is a recipient with a valid email.
3. Check if the user intended to receive the notification has any notification settings and they are valid.
4. If you're experiencing issues with email delivery, you may request your email provider to unblock or whitelist the specific email address: moc.ofniayhtas@gnipretrams. This action can help ensure that emails from the specified address are allowed and not blocked by spam filters or other security measures.
5. Configure an email address with your own domain name to get e-mail alerts/reports from SmarterPing instead of using free email services to your business.
